Promo event – The Regret series by A.L. Jackson

People come into our lives. Some stay, and many go. Some build us up, while most tear us down. They become our friends, our enemies, our lovers, our tormentors.

Christian Davison came into mine, and I knew I’d never be the same.

To Elizabeth Ayers, New York City had always been a dream. She’s worked her entire young life to make it here.

Groomed to one day take over his father’s law firm, attending Columbia University was Christian Davison’s only option.

Neither wanted anything more until they sat across from each other at a café table after being paired as study partners.

Christian wants her, but Elizabeth knows better than to give into their intense attraction. Yet there is little she can do to stay away.

Lost to You, the prequel to the bestselling romance, Take This Regret. A New Adult novella, recommended for readers 17+. It’s unnecessary to have read Take This Regret to enjoy Lost to You.

“So how’s your math class going?” Christian wiped a napkin over his mouth, sat back in his chair with a

satisfied sigh as he pushed his plate away. Completely casual, he appeared to be unaware of the chaos

he created in me.

“Okay, thanks to you.”

A smirk pulled at his mouth. “What would you do without me, Elizabeth?”

“Oh, I don’t know, find another cute boy to help me with math,” I said, anticipating his reaction if I

teased him a little.

For a flash, his eyes narrowed, then a dangerous grin spread across his face. “So I’m just dispensable,

huh? Easily replaced?” He hunched and lowered, pressed his chest into the table to meet me at eye

level, this slow playfulness coming across him. “How about I let you fail next time?”

“Well how about I feed you the wrong answers when we study for our next government test?” I

He faked a disbelieving laugh, a gentle ribbing that twisted its way straight to my heart. He was so cute

like this, like a harmless boy and not the man who made me fearful, not the one who urged me to hold

onto my affections, careful not to let them go.

“You’re going to feed me the wrong answers, huh? You?” he challenged.

The entire meal I’d felt his leg stretched under the table, reaching, giving in to casual brushes, then

receding as if they hadn’t happened.

Now Christian abruptly extended his leg, wove it between my legs, direct and bold. My breath caught. It

was the closest we’d ever come to an embrace.

I averted my gaze, but couldn’t for long because I could feel him staring at me.

His voice dropped. “You, sweet Elizabeth, the most innocent girl I know, is going to feed me the wrong

answers? I bet you’ve never even told a lie.”

Heat flooded my face.

He was taunting me, prodding. Is that what he really thought of me? Innocent? But honestly, I guess I

was. Well maybe not innocent. . .just inexperienced. I had no idea how to play Christian’s games, no idea

of what the girls he surrounded himself with were like, although I could only imagine. It had to be my

greatest disadvantage. Vulnerability oozed from my consciousness, and I shifted in discomfort.

Christian could devour me whole.

His expression shifted as he edged even closer, his voice a whisper, “Just how innocent are you,

There are some mistakes we make that we will regret for the rest of our lives. For Christian Davison, it was the day he betrayed Elizabeth Ayers. For five years, Christian has regretted the day he walked away from his family and will do anything to win them back. Can Elizabeth forgive someone who has committed the unforgivable? Or are there some wounds that go so deep they can never heal?

Christian froze when he realized he was too late; he’d
done too much harm. He stood silently and watched the man who was only supposed
to be her friend sit in the spot where he should have been. He watched Matthew
adoring the girl who deserved every touch and embrace, the girl who deserved a
man better than he knew himself to be. She deserved a man like Matthew who had
stepped up and filled the place Christian should never have stepped away from.
He allowed the pain to well up in his chest, and he said
a silent goodbye to the girl he would always love. He stepped back and let the
door close between them. As he escaped down the hall, he trained his attention
on the floor, not allowing himself to look through the large glass window where
he knew his child slept. He knew if he saw, he would never be able to walk
was taken care of and happy, and for once, Christian would do something that he
wasn’t doing for himself.

After all, it was for the best.

If Forever Comes, the final chapter in the New York Times Bestselling The Regret Series

Christian Davison’s life is complete. With a ring on Elizabeth’s finger and his daughter at his side, he’s ready to run headlong into their future.

Elizabeth Ayers never believed she would again find this kind of joy—the joy of a family and the wholeness found in the touch of the man she’s always loved.

Their love is intense and their passion only grows as they set out to rediscover each other.

But life is never easy.

Rocked by the unforeseen, Christian and Elizabeth will find themselves fighting for the one thing they hold most important—family.

I pushed her up against the window. Elizabeth grunted. She
sagged against the expansive sheet of glass, the perfect lines of her body
silhouetted against the backdrop of the city that seemed to echo my past, the
memories so thick, they seemed almost alive.
I took a step back and let my eyes wander over the one who
inhabited them all.
Gradually the lines of that beautiful face came into
focus, and for a moment, my gaze got lost in the amber warmth of her soft brown
eyes. Devotion pumped steadily through my veins. I loved her. Loved her with
everything, with my life, with my soul.
And I was going to spend my entire life proving it to her.
My actions were slow and deliberate as I knelt down in
front of her, watching the way her lips parted when I did. I slipped my hands
under the hem of her dress, ran them up the softness of her thighs and around
to cup her perfect, round bottom, my fingers brushing lace and satin. Her dress
was all bunched up on my forearms as I hiked it around her hips. The long
length of her toned legs were exposed as she stood there trembling in her
“You have the sweetest ass, Elizabeth,” I whispered as I
burrowed my fingers into the delicate flesh. There was no stopping the
overwhelming rush of need that burned through my system when I touched her this
way. Flames licked at my skin and pulsed heat into my veins.
Every single inch of my body hardened.
“You always have,” I said as I stared up at her. “Do you
know that? The first time I saw you ten years ago in that little cafe, all I
could think about was finding out what you had hidden underneath your clothes.
And it’s perfection, Elizabeth. Every inch of you is perfection.”
Elizabeth watched down on me with dark, hungry eyes.
Deliberately my hand slid around to her front. My tongue darted out to wet my
lips as I nudged her legs farther apart. I ran my knuckles over the scrap of
dampened lace between her thighs.
Vibrations shook her, and she grasped my shoulders for
support. “Christian,” pushed from her lungs in a quiet plea, her fingers
desperate as they curled in my shirt.
My name on her tongue sounded like heaven.
I suppressed a pained groan and let my hands trail back
down her legs to the top of her boots. I sat back a little, one knee on the
floor and the other bent with my foot planted in front of me. I brought her
foot up to rest on my knee. “I want you to remember this night, Elizabeth.”
Slowly I dragged the zipper down the inside of her leg to her ankle. The
distinct sound infiltrating the hush of the room slammed me with a shot of
lust, curled as the tightest knot in the pit of my stomach. I had to will
myself to keep it under control, to go slow, because I wanted to savor this night.
“I want you to forever remember the first time I make love to you in the city
where we started all those years ago.”

Boys of Bishop, book #3

Perfect for readers of Susan Mallery and Rachel Gibson, Between the Sheets is Molly O’Keefe’s final book in the Boys of Bishop trilogy, featuring a sizzling romance between a sexy motorcycle bad boy and the girl next door who can’t resist him.

After years of running, Wyatt Svenson has now parked himself in Bishop, Arkansas, trying to do the right thing and parent a son he didn’t even know he had until recently. Over six feet tall and packed with muscles and power, Ty likes to get his hands dirty, fixing his motorcycle at night and keeping his mind away from the mistakes he’s made. Then his pretty neighbor shows up on his driveway, doesn’t bother to introduce herself, and complains about the noise. First impression? She should loosen up. Funny that she turns out to be his son’s elementary school art teacher—and the only one willing to help his troubled boy. Ty needs her. In more ways than one.

Though Shelby Monroe is safe in her structured life, she is drawn to Ty’s bad-boy edge and rugged sexuality. What if she just lets it all go: her worries about her mother, her fear of heartbreak, and her tight self control? What if she grabs Ty and takes a ride on the wild side? “What if” becomes reality—intense, exhilarating . . . and addictive. But Ty wants more than a secret affair. He wants it all with Shelby. But will she take a chance and open her heart? Ty is determined to convince Shelby to take the biggest risk of her life: on him.

January 8

Shelby Monroe was not having a very good morning.

Last night, her new neighbor—a motorcycle enthusiast apparently with insomnia and a hearing problem—didn’t stop revving his engine until nearly dawn. Then Mom put the coffeepot on the stove thinking it was the kettle and it shattered when it got too hot.

So here she was for her first day of classes after the Christmas break at Bishop Elementary, frazzled and without coffee.

Which was no way to deal with Colleen.

“Welcome back!” Colleen, the school secretary, stood up from behind her desk and for a moment seemed as if, in the three-week break, she’d forgotten that Shelby wasn’t a hugger.

Thank God it came back to her at the last moment and instead of throwing her arms around Shelby like they were old friends, she turned to the bottom drawer of her filing cabinet and yanked it open. Shelby dropped her phone and purse in it. There was no office for the part-time staff, so she made do with Colleen’s bottom drawer. She shrugged out of her winter jacket and hung it on the coat hook with her scarf, then tucked her gloves in her coat sleeves.

“How are you doing?” Colleen asked. “First day back. It’s always a good day.”

“You must be the only teacher in the world who thinks that.”

Shelby laughed. That was probably true. Her first days back in the school after winter break were her fa- vorite of the whole year. All the hard work of getting to know the kids, understanding them, and getting their attention and respect was done. And now they were re- charged. The next two months would undoubtedly be her most productive with the kids, before spring fever hit.

She just needed to shake off this bad morning she’d had.

“Coffee’s fresh.”

“You’re a saint.” She grabbed a mug from the cup- board above the coffee area and waited for the machine to belch and steam before she poured herself a cup. Col- to leen went nuts if you robbed the pot, and no one wanted get on Colleen’s bad side.

In her years as a part-time employee for the school district, Shelby had come to know one thing for certain: principals did not run schools; the secretaries did. And Colleen’s desk was like the bridge of a giant space- ship. A phone system with a gazillion lights and buttons. Color-coded Post-its. The sign-in book, which she guarded like the Holy Grail. The first-aid kit, the small fridge with ice packs. Printer, computer, jars with pens. One drawer had hard candy, the other a box of Triscuits. There was a heat lamp at her feet. A fan at her back. Two different sweaters over her chair and a small hot plate for her coffee cup.

Colleen could survive the zombie apocalypse at her desk.

Cover Reveal – CRUSH and BURN by J.C. Emery

Tragedy cuts deep. Revenge
burns deeper.
The blood of enemies coats
the leather of their vests and a trail of bodies lie in their wake, but the
Forsaken Motorcycle Club isn’t done yet. Carlo Mancuso still needs to pay for
his sins. Nobody knows that more than Ian Buckley, the Treasurer for Forsaken.
Ian prefers his pleasure
mixed with pain and he’s only ever at peace when he’s doling out justice.
Convinced that he’s too unstable and sadistic to take an Old Lady, he keeps his
trysts, like all of his relationships, brief and anonymous. But with his club
at war, and the stakes being so personal, Ian’s feeling the events around him
more deeply than he expects.
Mindy Mercer is the sweet
daughter of Fort Bragg’s most respectable cop. At least that’s how the town
sees her. Very few people know the Mindy who hides her tracks and battles her
cravings by lying to everyone around her. She thinks she has control of her
addiction until she suffers an attack that leaves her searching for a way out
of her own personal hell.
Mindy has never been more
desperately in need of a savior and Ian has never seen a more beautifully
destroyed creature in his life. Their attraction is intense, but their damage
is extreme. Some scars never heal, and some people never get better.
Love is never more painful
than when it can kill you.
Crush will now be a full length novel!!!
Young love is always perfect. Until it’s not.
Cheyenne Grady is a total daddy’s girl to her bad-ass father, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club. She’s funny, and kind, and she just wants that deep, earth-shattering love like her dad has with her school secretary, Holly. But Cheyenne’s been looking in the wrong direction, because the only good that can come from the way she looks at Jeremy Whelan is a lesson in heartbreak.
Jeremy always wanted to prospect for the Forsaken Motorcycle Club and wear the same patch as his father. When a life-long dream becomes reality, Jeremy realizes that the outlaw lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it easy on relationships. He wants to be a good man, but temptation is everywhere.
Cheyenne is beautiful, and strong, and exactly what Jeremy could have forever. As long as he doesn’t screw it up.
Love is never more powerful than the first time.
CRUSH EXCERPT (unedited)
Prologue (previously unreleased)
“You got any idea how
bad you fucked up?” Ryan asks. Judging by the fact that I have four
members of Forsaken staring me down like I’m dog shit, I think I have some
clue. “Fucking answer me.”
I try to respond, but it’s
more than a little difficult to get my vocal cords to cooperate. All I can
think is about my dad and how he’d flip out when I’d fuck up. He would ask me
all these questions that he never intended for me to answer. It’s what you call
a rectal question or whatever you call it. Even when he’d demand an answer, he
didn’t really want one and never gave me time to give him one. He just likes to
yell—something he still does when he manages to stay out of The Hole long
enough to get a phone call in; and unfortunately, my sister pretty much always
rats me out.
“Yeah, I got it,” I mumble
after some serious thought on the subject.
“Don’t think he gets it,”
Diesel says. His voice booms in the ever-shrinking room.
“Nah, he don’t get it,”
Wyatt grumbles.
“Give the boy a chance to
prove it,” Grady says. His attention is still focused on Ryan. I thought these
two weren’t getting along, but maybe I was wrong. “He’s been comin’ around for
some time now, saying he’s man enough to wear the cut.”
“He’s just a kid,” Wyatt
says in a huff.
“You were all just kids
once.” The words come from a deep voice that’s familiar, but I don’t quite
place until I see Chief’s long black hair and his broad shoulders. He moves
into the room and everybody grows silent. Grady, who is one scary motherfucker,
seems to take a step back as he acknowledges Chief’s presence. If I didn’t
already know Chief’s long-standing history in the club, I would be well aware
of it now. Wyatt is Vice President because he wanted the job according to my
dad. Chief could have had it, but it wasn’t his end game. Great power, great
responsibility and all that shit.
“Fucked up, didn’t you?” he
asks. His brow and jaw are relaxed. I remain silent expecting this to be
another one of those questions I’m not supposed to answer.
“Answer me,” he barks.
“Yes, Sir.”
“Come on, Chief,” Ryan
whines. I’m not talking about a manly whine—if there is such a thing—I’m
talking about this full-on, high-pitched fucking whine. His brows furrow and he
stomps his foot. Diesel snorts, but Wyatt and Grady both look annoyed at his
antics. Only Chief doesn’t react.
“Fine,” he says. A small
smirks appears in the corner of his mouth. My attention shifts to Ryan, who is
smiling full of teeth that look as though they’re growing sharper by the
moment. He lunges forward with his right foot, but stops suddenly. I make the
mistake of jumping back quickly. Like a wild animal, the action spurs him on.
Before I know it, he’s stepped forward with his left foot. It’s happening so
fast that I’m not really thinking—just reacting—and I take several steps back.

“Let’s play a game—I catch
you—you get to suck my dick,” Ryan says as he reaches out to grab a hold of me.

Death comes
in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.
Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about
living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has
laid out for her, she makes a choice she can’t take back, changing the entire
trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for
her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs
right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and
one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend,
but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels,
and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come
with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his
club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back
of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep
her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice
for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even
Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

Ride (Bayonet Scars)

suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.
As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to
party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated
for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into
Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go
of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her
hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched
his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn’t have, and then almost lose
her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness,
he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he
can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad
temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a
vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a
much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s
not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground,
and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will
fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.
