About the Author

I grew up on the Florida panhandle, swimming with alligators, climbing oak trees and diving for scallops…when I could pull myself away from a book. As a child, I hid my Nancy Drew novels inside the church bulletin and read mysteries during sermons—an irony that is not lost on me when I preach these days.

I’m an Episcopal Priest with a bachelor’s degree in religious studies. I believe stories are the best way to explore human truths. Some people think it’s strange for a minister to write romance, but it is perfectly natural to me, because the human desire for love is at the heart of every romance novel and God made people with that desire. I write paranormal, historical and contemporary romance and live with my husband and two children in San Francisco.

My literary agent is the fabulous Becca Stumpf of the Prospect Agency.

abouthebook

I had my whole life mapped out. Perfect guy. Perfect friends. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it.

That was until that night–the one I can’t remember. It’s all my fault, and now the memories are all I have left of him. Of us.

My guilt drowns me until Sam Shea steps back into my life and helps me to the surface. He slowly opens my heart and crawls deep inside before I even realize what’s happening. I know I don’t deserve him.

While I’m trying to get used to my new life, pieces of that night slowly start to come back to me. Lies and secrets shatter everything I thought I knew.

Maybe I’m not the only one living with regret.

excerpt

“Hi,” he whispers. His voice holds as much pain as I feel. He was never a fan of Cory’s, but he feels what I feel. It’s always been like that for us. It’s almost as if five years hasn’t passed since the last time we laid in the tall green grass.

Finally opening my eyes, I fixate on Sam. His blond hair is longer than it used to be, falling onto his forehead, but his eyes are just as brown as I remember. They always calmed me, but right now, they’re just making the tears fall faster. He’s a symbol of what life used to be like.

“Hey,” he says, squeezing my fingers between his. “It’s going to be okay.”

Without any sense of control, I fist the front of his T-shirt and pull him down until he’s close enough so I can wrap my arms around his neck. He stiffens before relaxing into me, his cheek pressed to mine. “I missed you,” I say, holding him tightly.

“I’m here now,” he whispers, his warm breath tickling my ear. “I’m not going anywhere.”

“I never thought you’d come.”

“I didn’t think you’d want me here.” He stops, lifting his head to look in my eyes. “I wanted to come to you as soon as I heard about the accident, but I didn’t know how you’d react … it’s been so long, Rachel.”

“Too long,” I say, trying to draw off the warmth in his eyes. Sometimes just knowing someone is there for you makes everything better.

“I almost had to pay the nurse to get in here. I guess your mom didn’t add me to the list of approved visitors,” he says, running his thumb along the exposed part of my forearm. He scans the room, taking in the medical equipment that surrounds me. His eyes follow the IV line down to my hand, to the large green and yellow bruise that covers it. I hate the pity on his face. I don’t deserve it.

“You obviously found a way in,” I say to bring his attention back up.

He looks up, smiling sadly. “Nothing was going to stop me.”

For a few seconds, I just stare at him, still surprised that he’s even here. It almost feels as if no time passed at all. I want to blurt out everything, unleash the pain from my soul.

“Sam?”

“Rachel.”

“I’m so scared and confused. How does something like this happen, and I don’t remember a thing? So many people have come and gone from this room, but no one has been able to tell me anything. Someone’s got to know something,” I cry.

About Hundred to One:

Arlene Bowers is as tough as nails. She has survived a less than perfect marriage, managing to move past it to run her own diner. Her abrasive exterior has always been a way for her to hide behind the darkness and pain that she has endured, but a recent, violent attack and several disturbing phone calls have that tight hold on her emotions wavering.

Seb Griffin showed up in Cedar Tree eight months ago and was hired on at Arlene’s Diner as a cook. An ex-con with secrets of his own, Seb walks a fine line. Since he began working at the diner, he’s developed feelings for his fierce, stubborn boss, and the need to keep his distance from her, to protect her, is a daily struggle.

When it appears that Arlene’s past has come back, rearing its ugly head while her defenses are low, Seb steps up and claims responsibility for Arlene, praying that he can keep her safe from whatever is coming her way.

**Due to content of a sexually explicit nature, this book is recommended for a mature audience only.**

Excerpt:

Seb hasn’t moved from his spot and is still looking at me.

“What?” My hands are on my hips and if my chin was sticking up any higher my head would roll off my back.

“You were nice.” He says with an eyebrow raised.

“So? I can be nice. Just cause I haven’t had a reason to before doesn’t mean I don’t know how.” And I immediately busy myself wiping down the counters… again.

“Uh huh…” Comes from right behind me before I feel arms sliding around my waist.

“I like you nice.” He mumbles with his face buried in my neck, which has my body on high alert and aching.

“Don’t get used to it.” I manage, but I can’t resist leaning back a little, feeling his hard chest behind me. One big hand slides up under my work shirt and his rough fingers skim my stomach. My instant reaction is to suck that baby right in, but he catches me.

“So soft. It’s nice.”

Just the feeling of a man’s hands on me; this man’s hands on me, causes me to moan. It’s been so long since I have felt anything other than anger from a man’s hand. There is no anger in Seb’s touch, just a teasing gentleness that makes my wild side flare up and take notice.

When I feel his callused fingertips brush the underside of my breast, then slip under my bra, my breath hitches in anticipation. Damn I want his hands on me, his mouth on me. My nipples are so tight, they are almost painful, and when his touch finally finds them I can’t hold back anymore.

“Seb…” Reaching behind me I pull his head down and attack his mouth. My tongue eagerly finding entrance and tasting his. Hands tangling in his hair. I can feel his resistance waning and a greedy whimper escapes me.

He breaks the kiss, looks at me with eyes that are almost as black as midnight. Turns and lifts me up on the counter, initiating himself between my legs. Pulling at my knees so that my wet and aching centre is lined up with what is a mouthwatering erection. Instinctively I wrap my legs around him, pressing him closer to my core. His hands now both under my shirt and working at releasing my bra. He shoves it out of the way along with my shirt and latches on to my breast while plumping the other with his hand. And I have lost all reason.

“So fucking tasty.” Is all I can hear before he switches to the other side.

Eager to touch him, my hands trace his arms, shoulders and with my fingers I start pulling up his shirt, needing to touch his skin.

The phone rings.

“Fuck!” Seb swears as he leans his head to my sternum, all movements stilled by the insistent ringing. He pulls my shirt down and half in a daze I reach over to grab the receiver off the hook.

“A- … Arlene’s Diner.” I manage to get out.

“You think you can get away with that? You fucking whore! I’ll teach you…”

After meeting Mallory in Escaping Me, I couldn’t wait for her story.  Finding You was a wonderful read.  There was not one thing to disappoint, the story was everything I could have wanted for Mallory.
Elizabeth Lee gives readers characters that are struggling and discovering who they are.  The journey is filled with heartbreak, secrets, growth and a love story to remember.  I loved Boone for Mal.  I couldn’t put the book down without knowing where the story was going next and how it would end.
Finding You is not to be missed!  I’m thrilled to add Elizabeth Lee to my auto-buy list, I am loving her stories.

aboutheauthor
Born and raised in the
middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve
spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets
the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and
anything is completely possible if you believe.
Although this journey
began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring
hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany… I should
write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of
girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching
television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that
I’m too old to watch them.

abouthebook

In this sizzling conclusion to WILD TEMPTATION, Liv and Tyler see the boundaries of their addictions pushed to new limits as their heads battle with their hearts for an explosive fall into the depths of love…

I gave him my body, and he gave me no strings. It was that simple… in the beginning.

I never could have imagined my temptation could become my addiction. If I knew for a second how entirely Tyler Stone would consume me, I never would have handed him my body so freely.

His addiction feeds mine. My cravings ignite his. Together we are dangerous. Destructive. Obsessive. Wild.

But now it’s too late. We’re bound by more than our inexplicable need for the other, and the ties that hold us together are irreversible.

He craves my body. I crave his heart.

This is addiction.

Wild Addiction is book two of the WILD series. It is preceded by Wild Attraction, a free prequel, and Wild Temptation, the first full-length novel.

excerpt

“No, you don’t. You’re impulsive and indecisive and spur-of-the-moment.” He runs his nose up my neck. His breath coats my skin in a swath of heat that sends tingles through me. “It’s what I love about you. I love it when you don’t think.”

“Because when I do, I overthink to hell.”

“Precisely.” He smiles against my skin. “So stop thinking.”

“Even if I think you’re cute?”

“Especially that.” He laughs, his hands settling against my waist.

I expect them to slide down, to cup my ass and pull me toward him. They don’t. They flatten against the small of my back and linger there. The heat from his hold seeps through the material of my sweater.

The tension zings. It bounces off him and me, colliding in the tiny space between us and igniting like fireworks on the Fourth of July.

My chest heaves with anticipation. I want his touch. Despite my earlier thoughts about the sex overriding the rest of our relationship, when we’re here, like this, so close, I can’t help but need him inside me. I can’t help but want to be so connected to him.

“There’s more to us.” The words leave me, barely audible, unintentional.

“What do you mean?” he whispers into my ear.

“Than our addiction. There’s more, isn’t there? It’s stronger than our addiction. More intense, yet just as dangerous. It’s lingering under the blanket of our addictions.”

Tyler eases one hand around my front and up my body until he’s cupping the back of my head. “Yeah. Yeah, there’s so much more than our addiction.”

I press my face into his chest as Nana’s words come back to me. “When you’re in love, you’ll know it.”

“We are so fucked,” I whisper into his shirt. “So fucking fucked.”

One woman
One man
An empty bed and breakfast
A summer storm
One night they’ll never
forget – so they thought…
When my aunt passed away and left me her dilapidated bed and breakfast it was all so surreal. I hadn’t been

I never planned on having guests. In fact, I just wanted to close up the place and sell it, so that I could
move on with my life.
Then the storm happened.
Taken by surprise, I planned on waiting for it to pass. The house creaked and the power went out. That’s
when someone knocked on the door.
He was a stranger, dripping wet, cold, and looking for shelter. I couldn’t turn him away…
What happened next between us
opened new doors, changing everything I thought I wanted for myself.

excerpt

Ember steps around Con, and Con sees Madden’s nostrils flare. Hard.

“You have fucked the Faction,” Madden accuses her.

Constantine sighs. Grabbing Ember’s elbow, he jerks her closer to him. “You imbecile, I am no longer Faction. Do you see yonder Faction present? Them, oaf, not I.”

Madden’s brows dump, his eyes narrowing to slits. “A mongrel is what I see,” he says, dismissing the Faction who used to battle alongside Con.

Not that the other Faction’s stance as current potential enemy ruffled Con’s feathers. Con has found independence, and it suits him quite well.

Con doesn’t have time for usurpation. “Well, bravo, my fishy enemy. But this mongrel will end you.”

The Mer open their mouths to call the Mother.

Constantine would like to bitch about their methods. However, he has always been a dirty fighter, and he approves of using everything at his disposal.

On that note. Con whips Ember around, gripping her arms. Her blood-red eyes and blond hair contrast in the strangled moonlight seeping through the trees like pale blood.

“Derail their siren’s call, Ember.”

Her eyes grow round. “I do not know if I am able.”

He gives her a teeth-rattling shake. “Try—before I inspire you to do so. You can take the Faction out of the male, but the violence remains.”

Constantine draws her close as the Mer call the aid of the sea.

He feels the Mother as his lips take Ember’s in a brutal press of flesh that leaves her gasping.

He bites her lip just hard enough to draw blood, and it fills their mouths.

He pulls away. “Do it. Do it now!”

Ember’s tongue swipes at the wound. He watches her pupils dilate, the black eating the red. When her eyes are glossy ink marbles in the ivory of her face, her mouth opens, and Ember’s song fills the stillness.

The demonic and Druid cover their ears against it.

But Con does not. He has enough blood of the Mer to tolerate her high-toned wail, though it causes as much pain as it does pleasure.

A common theme for what Constantine enjoys best.

A wall of seawater rises like a hand from a watery grave. It hovers over Ember and Constantine.

The Druid’s arms drop to his sides, an expression of wonder filling his face as he approaches them.

Ember’s wailing isn’t interrupted when she gives a cautionary shake of her head. Con doesn’t shred the cock and balls off the young male, as his impulse would normally be, because when the Druid sets his hands on both their shoulders, Ember’s song rises in pitch—strengthening the call. The water that threatens them swings around and crashes into the five Mer and Faction who sidle closer to gain the advantage of proximity.

Fierce satisfaction fills Con when the Mers’ siren call is cut short, water stealing the sound.

Ember’s final note carries on the now-still air. Her trembling music crushes the silence as it ends.

Their breathing is all Constantine hears.

abouthebook
Being the wild child has worked for Mallory Vandaveer for most of her life. She’s the good time girl, up for anything–and everyone in her small town knows it. But when her sister came home after years of being away, long hidden secrets came out. Turns out, Mallory isn’t who she thought she was. And now everything starts to feel like a lie. In order to figure out who she is she’ll have to set out on a journey to find the one man who holds the answers.
Everett Boone is in hiding. Hiding from his past and the press and the demands of a career he put on hold after tragedy struck. When a young woman with secrets of her own blows into town and rents the apartment next to his, he’ll have to face the past he was trying to escape in order to understand his feelings for her.
They’ll both have to dig deep inside themselves to discover whether or not they’re capable of being enough for one another. Finding the person you’re meant to love isn’t the problem. Sometimes the hardest person to find is yourself.

excerpt

Looking around my small apartment at all the boxes I had to unpack and thinking of the chores that needed to be done to make this place comfortable—at least as comfortable as possible given the constant ball of nerves I’d be while this whole mess played out—I sighed.  I’d managed to get the bed made and a few of my clothes hung up in the closet after Cole left.  The rest could wait until tomorrow; I needed a good night’s sleep and a clear head.

I flipped off the lamp next to my bed and snuggled down in the sheets that still smelled like home.  Like that undeniable, comforting, wrap-you-in-a-hug smell of home and I loved it.  Gave me a little relief to know that I still had at least a little part of my life from before the Vince bombshell was dropped on me and exploded my seemingly charmed life.  Sure Robert Vandaveer was a shitty dad, but at least I knew he was.  I’d accepted his flaws.  I hated them, but I accepted them. Vince was a complete mystery.  A few photos and old stories my mom had told me weren’t enough to really know him.  His flaws may have been worse than Vandaveer’s.

Just as I was about to drift off, dreams of small town peacefulness beckoning, a loud crash startled me.  Popping up like I’d just been shot, I clasped my hands over my chest and felt my heart beating.  I could hear it.  Or at least I thought I could.  It took me a few seconds to realize that the chaotic thumping I thought was my heart was actually a drumbeat coming through the brick wall that separated my apartment from Boone’s.

Son of a bitch.

Not only was I living next door to a paranoid jerk, he was also apparently moonlighting as a drummer.  A cheesy wedding band drummer at that.  Playing some easy listening, soft rock bullshit that I’d only heard during a bad 80s movie montage.

I climbed out of bed and stomped my way over to beat down Boone’s door and give him a piece of my mind.  Just as I was about to walk down the stairs and do just that, I realized that with the way the music was blaring there was no way he’d hear me knocking on the outside door.  My eyes shot to the window and the fire escape.  I’d explored it a little earlier when I was moving stuff in, but I hadn’t ventured out onto it yet.  Looked sturdy enough.  Didn’t fire escapes have to be safety rated?  I sure hoped so.   All I knew for sure was that it stretched across to Boone’s apartment windows.

As I shimmied out the window and felt the cool metal grates beneath my bare feet, I was fuming.  I steadied my hands on the railing with a firm grip and tugged to see if they were secure.  A little loose, but it seemed strong enough—probably the last person to die on a fire escape’s exact thoughts.  Holding my breath, I continued across.  The fact that he’d woken me up was one thing, but for me to have to risk my life to yell at him about it… He’d crossed the don’t-fuck-with-Mallory line.  Or was it the don’t-fuck-with-Molly line? Whatever it was, he’d crossed it.

I peered through his windows, the sounds of his drumming along to the music vibrating the panes of glass that stood between us, I readied my fist to knock—no, to pound.  Just as I was about to make contact, my eyes registered how much he was zoned in and playing the rhythm of the next song that began blaring through his speakers.

Hello, drummer boy.

The primal look in his eyes.  The controlled movement of the muscles in his toned arms as he played.  The sheen of sweat that slicked his shirtless body and made the six-pack he’d been hiding practically glisten with an invitation to be licked.  I drew my bottom lip between my teeth and stared.

Why did he have to be such a dick?  He seemed stressed out and pissed off.  I was pretty sure it had to do with the mysterious death he’d spouted off about yesterday.  I had no idea what he’d been through, but I just didn’t see the point in being miserable all the time.  Life was meant to be lived.  To have fun.  Maybe my sister was right about him needing someone like me to put him in a good mood.  I had it on good authority that I was a pretty good roll in the hay.  Maybe one wild night was just what he needed.

All she wanted to do was forget. Forget the memory of walking in on her boyfriend in the middle of, well, another girl. Forget how she had her entire life planned out. And, forget about being perfect all the time. Unfortunately, she was Whitney Vandaveer and despite the fact that she moved to the middle of nowhere – she couldn’t.

He always knew he would never be more than nothing. No job, no money, no future. Cole Pritchett had accepted the fact that he would always be the screw up and he was okay with it. Until he met her.

Here’s the thing they quickly found out – sometimes we all need a little help escaping who we think we are.

aboutheauthor

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany… I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.
